Site Manager - Genesis Scottish Open

Location: The Renaissance Club, North Berwick, Scotland

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Site Manager to oversee all operations for the Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland. As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing all staff across the site, handling consumable orders, liaising with event organizers, and representing our team at briefings and meetings both on and off-site. Your leadership and organizational abilities will be essential in ensuring the smooth execution of all activities throughout the event.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise all staff across the event site, including toilet and sanitation operatives, hospitality personnel, and support staff.
  • Coordinate and oversee consumable orders, ensuring adequate stock levels of essential supplies such as toiletries, cleaning products, and other necessary items.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for event organizers, maintaining open communication channels and addressing any queries or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Attend briefings and meetings both on and off-site, representing our team and providing updates on operational activities and requirements.
  • Oversee the setup and breakdown of facilities and infrastructure as per event specifications and timelines.
  • Develop and implement efficient workflows and procedures to optimize site operations and enhance overall productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, conducting regular inspections and audits to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Handle any on-site emergencies or issues as they arise, implementing appropriate solutions and coordinating with relevant stakeholders as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a management or leadership role, preferably in event management, hospitality, or related fields.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to oversee multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Sound decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Previous experience in event coordination or facility management is highly desirable.
  • Must be able to commute to the site in North Berwick, as accommodation is not provided.
