Social Media Assistant

About the Role
We are looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Assistant to join our team at iKlean. You will work closely with our Social Media Manager to support the planning, creation, and execution of engaging social media content. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about digital trends, content creation, and storytelling within the events industry.
You will play a key role in capturing and showcasing our work across various events and festivals, helping to build our brand presence and engage our growing community.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to support content strategy, campaign planning, and execution
- Create and capture social-first content, including behind-the-scenes footage, Instagram Reels, and TikTok videos during campaigns and internal shoots
- Design graphics and edit video content using tools such as Canva and CapCut
- Manage and publish content across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Stay up to date with evolving social media trends and implement innovative ideas into campaigns
- Assist with community management and audience engagement across all platforms
- Travel to events and festivals to document staff and company activities
- Analyse social media performance and provide weekly, monthly, and seasonal reports with actionable recommendations
Requirements
- Strong understanding of current social media trends, particularly on Instagram and TikTok
- Experience using creative tools such as Canva and CapCut
- Knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok
- Creative mindset with the ability to think innovatively and develop engaging content ideas
- Experience in graphic design, video editing, photography, and video production
- Confident presenting and appearing on camera
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (SEO knowledge is a plus)
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ability and willingness to travel across the UK as required
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Ability to use personal video recording equipment
